“Secret In Their Eyes” is an intense, powerful, haunting thriller featuring an all-star ensemble of Academy Award® winners and nominees in front of and behind the camera. Written and directed by Billy Ray (Captain Phillips, The Hunger Games, Shattered Glass), and produced by Mark Johnson (Rain Man, Breaking Bad), “Secrets In Their Eyes” stars Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years A Slave), Nicole Kidman (Paddington), Julia Roberts (“The Normal Heart,” Ocean’s Twelve), Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2), Dean Norris (part of “Breaking Bad‘s“ SAG Outstanding Ensemble), and rising star Joe Cole.
On his work for the soundtrack, composer Emilio Kauderer explains, “‘Secret in Their Eyes‘ evoked a personal challenge in me to connect with my own obsessions. I was haunted by recurring images that never settled down in my head. The centerpiece of the film is about a commitment – – or maybe an obsession – – that will not rest easy until its meaning is found. The film compelled me to look at the strange language of the mind, the inner need to resolve trauma and scars that mark us for life.“He continues,“All this generated in me a multitude of emotions that I hope to have been able to translate into music. That was the target of my score.”
