It’s an understatement to say that Jay-Z stays busy, but in between throwing fundraisers for President Obama, promoting NBA 2K13 and performing at Brooklyn’s new Barclays Center(not to mention co-parenting Blue Ivy Carter with Beyonce), the king of rap still has time to check out the latest music – Meek Mill’s upcoming album Dreams and Nightmares to be exact.

On Thursday (October 4), Meek tweeted: “Letting #hov & @_youngchris listen 2 #dreamsandnightmares wen hov tell ya sh– hot….it’s hot!” Yeah, we agree: when Jay-Z tells you he likes your music you must be doing something right, but while it’s safe trust Hov’s taste, we’ll have to wait until October 30 (the album’s release date) to make our final assessment.

 

Other artists such as fellow Maybach Music MC Wale have also approved of the Philly rapper’s debut, which features big names like Nas, Rick Ross, John Legend and Mary J. Blige. “He’s in a good spot; he’s making incredible music,” he told MTV News recently. He even said that it’s a “special moment” for Meek, who wants to make history with this album.“I want to have a classic album, an Illmatic, a Hard Knock Life, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ type of album,” Meek told music station Wild 94.9. It’s an ambitious goal but, hey, he already has support from both his peers and Hov himself.
