Emotional Oranges, the mysterious Los Angeles-based R&B-centric collective whose run of critically acclaimed releases including – “Motion,” “Personal,” and most recently “Someone Else” release their highly anticipated debut full-length project THE JUICE VOL. I, via indie label Avant Garden. A gently squeezed 8-song compilation, THE JUICE VOL. I showcases the “faceless, nameless R&B twosome Emotional Oranges’ … upbeat, groove-filled R&B,” as cited by Complex. On the release of the project, Emotional Oranges state, “This project is a culmination of nearly 4 years of work. It started as just a ridiculous idea in a 10 x 10 studio with a close friend and slowly developed into a collective of the best creatives we know. We made music and art that we wanted to hear and see and are grateful that so many people have connected to it. We hope you enjoy THE JUICE VOL. I. Rest assured that VOLUME II. is already in the works. This is only the beginning of the emotional revolution.” Enjoy this audio stream below after the jump and please share this with friends.
On May 20th, the collective, who have been sending trendsetters and tastemakers on both sides of the Atlantic running for cover, kick off their CHILL BABY, CHILL Tour in Toronto making stops in New York City and Los Angeles for sold-out shows as well. The group’s previous releases, lauded by the likes of Complex, Hypebeast, Ones to Watch, Vibe, Fader, Highsnobiety and more, reflect the cult following that Emotional Oranges have developed organically.

ABOUT EMOTIONAL ORANGES:
Provocateurs extraordinaire Emotional Oranges have been unanimously lauded everywhere from Complex, Fader,Paper,VIBE, Highsnobiety, andHypebeast to DJ Zane Lowe of the BBC, MTV, and Beats 1. EO have established themselves as one of the most exciting new acts on the planet without ever even revealing themselves. Not much is known of the Los Angeles-based male/female collective, but it has been speculated that when Adele’s vocal coach and Drake’s engineer met at a bat mitzvah in 2017, the band was instantly born. A mix of funky bass, break-beat drums, and jazzy guitars creates a refreshing, retro sound with futuristic undertones. Crafting a sound that fits in the pocket between the likes of Anderson.Paak and Disclosure, EO look to pull listeners further into their enticing world. Michelle Obama and Guy Fieri have publicly championed the band. Avant Garden in tandem with Island Records celebrates the unblemished string of signature EO singles over the past year: “Motion” (official theme song for RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2018), and “Personal,” then “Hold You Back,”“Corners Of My Mind,”and “Built That Way” have brought EO a cult following, generating over 12 million streams globally. Their 8-song debut album, THE JUICE VOL. I (released May 10, 2019) is worth the squeeze.
