Breakout Recording Artist The Weeknd Celebrates #1 Album in the Country
While Holding an Exclusive Residency at Drai’s LIVE
1. Have You Seen His Charts?!
The Weeknd’s latest album, Beauty Behind the Madness, was just released on Aug. 28 and went straight to number one – where it still sits. Not only that, but it was the year’s second most successful album debut with 412,000 units sold in the first week – a major feat for any artist today. It also went to number one in places all over the world including Australia, Canada and the UK. Just days ago on Sept. 8, he became the first male artist in seven years to have two songs in the Hot 100’s top three with “Can’t Feel My Face” and “The Hills.”
The list of accolades continue for a long time, but we have four more points to make, so we’ll move on.
2. There’s Literally Nowhere Else To Catch Him in Vegas
Drai’s LIVE has an exclusive residency with The Weeknd. That means there is nowhere else in town that you’ll be able to watch this highly decorated performer in action other than at Drai’s. Plus, thanks to the state-of-the-art audio/visual sensory experience that only Drai’s can provide, there’s no other venue on the Strip that would be able to accommodate the type of performance The Weeknd pulls off at Drai’s LIVE.
3. Get Up Close And Personal…Really, Really Personal
He might not be able to feel his face, but you’ll certainly be able to see it really well. Drai’s is a sprawling 65,000 square foot indoor/outdoor club, but the masterful design offers stunning views of the expansive Drai’s LIVE stage from virtually anywhere. The Weeknd can easily sell out arenas, but watching him do a full-length concert in an intimate and vibrant atmosphere like Drai’s is unlike any traditional concert experience you can have.
4. See and Be Seen with the Music Industry’s Key Players
The Weeknd constantly attracts other celebrities, musicians and industry professionals who want to see his much-buzzed-about Drai’s LIVE residency. If you’re in Vegas during one of The Weeknd’s concerts and want to find the best place for celebrity watching and taking in those only-in-Vegas moments, Drai’s is undoubtedly the place to be. You never know who will show up (like that one time the legendary Quincy Jones came to party with The Weeknd) and that makes it all the more exciting.
5. The Weeknd is the Original Drai’s LIVE Resident
Drai’s has been doing full-length concerts since it opened on the rooftop of The Cromwell just over a year ago, but when Drai’s LIVE kicked off at the top of the year, The Weeknd was the first artist on board. He whole-heartedly believed in the unique mashup of nightlife and live music that Drai’s LIVE was aiming for, and ever since his first performance at Drai’s he knew it was the only place in Las Vegas that he could consider to be his home.
