Artist bio – Ale

Ale, real name, Olaoluwa Anthony Ale, is an adept, up and rising, afro-fusion artist with mind-blowing musical talent. He was born in 1988 and grew up in Mushin, Lagos, Nigeria. Ale mixes African Language, culture, and instruments with western music genres such as R&B, pop, blues, funk, reggae, and others, to bring an unadulterated melody that draws the attention of any music lover in the world.

Getmybuzzup: Tell us a little about yourself?

Ale: Ale, Real name Olaoluwa Anthony Ale. I’m from Lagos state Nigeria and I was born on November 22, 1988. 

 

Getmybuzzup: How long have you been in the music industry?

Ale: For 10 years.

 

Getmybuzzup: How did you get started in the first place?

Ale: It all started in primary school, my seniors will call me to sing songs like (we are the world) by Micheal Jackson, (my name is Joe) by Joe Thomas. I will sing these songs so well that no one wanted radios anymore because of my voice. This continued in my secondary school until I decided to take music as a career.

 

Getmybuzzup: How would you describe your latest single “Hypnotic (HYP)”?

Ale: “Hypnotic” (HYP) is a summer jam for everyone. it’s a song that talks about my life story! I was tired of using the same old player’s game and I knew deep in my heart that it was time to get serious and settle down with that special woman. This time I’m going to spoil her with the best things in life, we will go shopping, ill buy her all the best designer wears like Dolce and Gabbana, Gucci, Fendi. I’m going to take her around the world just to express the depth of my love for her. eventually, we will settle down and start a family.

 

Getmybuzzup: How did you link up with V1cky l30 for the track and what was it like working with him?

Ale: I meet V1cky l30 through a model childhood friend from Lagos Nigeria through social media, and even though we haven’t met physically, we have a strong mutual understanding and respect for each other’s musical talent. Working with her has been a life-changing experience because she is a female star with great ideas and powerful imagination prowess. She is hard-working, polite, and extremely challenging. V1cky L30 never takes No! for an answer and that’s one reason why I respect her. i would like to work with her again and again in the future.

 

Getmybuzzup: Who are your inspirations in the music industry?

Ale: Fela, Tuface Idibia, Joe, Wizkid, Vybz kertel, Brandy, Akon, and Bobby V.

 

Getmybuzzup: How do you go about writing songs and what is your process?

Ale: My songs are inspired by true-life stories so it makes it very easy for me to write them. first, I reminisce on what happened, grab a pen and paper after that ill write it down with my melodies, and then I go to the studio to record and it becomes a hit song.

 

Getmybuzzup: Any plans on touring to promote your latest single?

Ale: I’ll be touring Africa, Europe, and other continents majorly to promote my new single Hypnotic.

 

Getmybuzzup: What did you buy with your first check-off music?

Ale: I bought myself a customized chain with my name on it.

 

Getmybuzzup: What are must-haves when you are in the studio working?

Ale: A calm atmosphere, positive energy, mutual understanding between me and my producer or whoever I’m working with.

More requirements are lime Water to keep my energy going and I like to eat well during studio recording so I would have African and Continental delicacies like

• Fried rice,
• Jollof rice, and chicken
•  Sweet Potato Pie
• Sticky Toffee Pudding.
• Yorkshire Lamb Patties.
• Poached Pear Salad.
• Chicken And Cheese Salad.

All this keeps me feeling refreshed and energized during music sessions.

 

Getmybuzzup: What is the best piece of advice in this business you actually followed?

Ale: Patience, hard work, self-improvement, and protecting relationships.

 

Getmybuzzup: Will you be collaborating with any other artists in the future?

Ale: Oh sure I would like to collaborate with Wizkid, Burna Boy, Buju Banton, Popcaan, Vybz Kartel, Akon, Chris Brown, Usher, Rihanna and many more.

 

Getmybuzzup: Do you think your music is mostly enjoyed more for the beats or for the musical flow and content?

Ale: My music is enjoyed by both the beats, my melodies, deliveries, attitude, African accent, musical flow, and content.

 

Getmybuzzup: What area do you need to improve on in regards to your career? (Example: Better production, Delivery, Stage presence, etc..)

Ale: I’ll love to improve areas like better production, content, delivery, and stage presence\performance, I see all this happening soon.

 

Getmybuzzup: What’s your all-time favorite song?

Ale: Phil Collins (I Can Feel It In The Air), Joe Thomas (Table for Two), Akon (Pot of Gold) and Brandy (Should I Go).

 

Getmybuzzup: What was the last album you listened to?

Ale: Akon (Trouble)

 

Getmybuzzup: In your opinion who is the most influential and successful artist in your genre today and why?

Ale: Burna Boy, I chose him because he is the first to win a Grammy award single-handedly.

 

Getmybuzzup: Who have been some of your favorite artists that you’ve been able to work with?

Ale: Vicky Leo.

 

Getmybuzzup: How do you feel about the current state of music?

Ale: I feel like something more is missing and it can get better, owing to the fact, I believe my musical talent is limitless and i know that there is something more to my music and this will surface soon in my new projects.

 

Getmybuzzup: Any dream award shows you hope to one day play at?

Ale: Grammy Award.

 

Getmybuzzup: What is your main goal as far as music?

Ale: To become the best musician of all time. I want to put down a legacy and a worthy character for the young aspiring musicians to learn from.

 

Getmybuzzup: Who would you say your music relates to the most?

Ale: My music relates to free-spirited people. believers of love and good values. Since I am a happy man and i put this inside my music, my music has the power to make everyone happy. Anytime you listen to my music you become a happier person.

 

Getmybuzzup: What separates you from other artists? (What’s makes you different?)

Ale: The very thing that makes me different as a musician is my originality and there is no one like me.

 

Getmybuzzup: When your not in the studio, What do you like to do for fun and relaxation?

Ale: I love spending time with my family, playing video games with friends, and playing soccer.

 

Getmybuzzup: If you could work with any producer who would it be?

Ale: Hmm, this is a hard one but ill go for Timbaland.

 

Getmybuzzup: What’s the biggest highlight of your career thus far?

Ale: My collaboration with V1cky l30 and my yet-to-release EP.

 

Getmybuzzup: What is your dream venue to perform at?

Ale: 02 Arena in London.

 

Getmybuzzup: What artist music are you currently a fan of?

Ale: The Dream.

 

Getmybuzzup: When performing live what are some of the things you do to get the crowd involved?

Ale: I like to hear my fans singing my songs to me when I’m performing. I feel like my shows are not meant for me, I’m saying this because whenever I am performing and I hear fans screaming my name and singing my songs word for word this feels like I came to watch them not them watch me. Without my fans, there is no me so I cherish all my fans. I also love to engage my fans by moving closer to them when performing. This means I would hold hands with them and move closer to the crowd.

 

Getmybuzzup: When performing live and the crowd is singing along how does that energy make you feel?

Ale: It makes me feel appreciated and loved. This reminds me that there is more work to be done and must not disappoint my fans.

 

Getmybuzzup: What’s the name of the last book you read and by whom?

Ale: The Bible.

 

Getmybuzzup: What’s your favorite sports team and why?

Ale: FC barcelona. They are my favorite because of their style of play.

 

Getmybuzzup: Whose your favorite actor or actress and their best movie?

Ale: Denzel Washington (Training Day)

Ale: My EP, videos MORE COLLABORATIONS AND AN ALBUM
