Don’t you ever sleep on Nick Cannon. “I don’t take threats lightly,” says the actor/rapper/comedian/producer. “I don’t negotiate with terrorists.” After exploding out of a small town in North Carolina to build an entertainment empire, Cannon ruffled the NBC peacock’s feathers and ended up leaving ‘America’s Got Talent’ early last year. Did it hurt his pockets? Maybe. But as Nick points out, “You can’t fire a boss.” And anyway he has other priorities. On his new album ‘Model Music,’ Cannon aims to inspire his daughter and impress his 98-year-old grandmother Corinne Cannon, who is not a fan of some of his more explicit raps.
