On Thursday, April 20th, Traplord and Doperoots joined together to throw their first ever Dopeland party in downtown LA. Created by A$AP Ferg and DJ TJ Mizell, over 700 people showed up to the all night event, which kicked off with a skate jam and ended with Marty Baller and Ferg making the room sweat. The duo have plans to bring the party to NYC in the very near future. Enjoy this video stream below after the jump.

Our partners came through in a big way, Traplord, Dope Roots, Adidas, 1800, Red Bull, Fire Fly all helped pull off this party in a few days. TJ and I talked about curating events together a long time ago. 420 this year was a perfect time to debut our party because we have so many wins to celebrate. From the first time he scratched for me on my Australian tour to a few years later down the line killing the Garden in NY, Barclays Center, Japan, Wireless Fest, Bonaroo, Splash Fest in Germany, Summer Jam and Coachella which all propelled me to being a platinum selling artist I am today we had to celebrate.
TJ and I would always talk about the fusion of music we wanted to bring to our events. A fine mixture of Hip Hop and R&B meets EDM and the oldies we love. – A$AP Ferg
Dopeland LA was the first of many Dopelands to come, but how it all came together on 4/20 in Los Angeles is something that has been in the works for years, even if we didn’t realize it. Ferg and myself both share a lot of different interests, some that people might not even know about, so the main driver behind Dopeland was to create an experience for people that fused together different interest points people typically wouldn’t associate with one another. Doperoots and Traplord are two brands that embody the spirit of the people, so why not give the people a world to live in. That world is Dopeland! Action sports, DJs, live performances, great food, a silent theater, Dopeland really had something for everyone and we enjoyed bringing that energy to one of our favorite cities with some of our closest friends. NY is up next. – TJ Mizell
