We’re taking you into the greenroom with music’s newest it-girl: Anitta.
This Brazilian pop princess has already been making waves for a decade, and is proud to finally show off her musical style to other cultures. Anitta released her first single at only 19 years old, and is now paving the way for other Brazilian artists in mainstream media. There wasn’t a dull moment on set with this star, who is self-described as complex, extreme, and versatile (she can fit in anywhere, “like a chameleon”).
Though she is fierce, Anitta still gets nervous. She experiences anxiety and butterflies in her stomach before a big performance. Don’t worry though, it’s nothing a little twerk session can’t fix. Check out the video above to see all of the glam and sass that make up this month’s Nylon cover star.
