Bryan Landers—better known as Camden, New Jersey’s musical sensation BNAST—has always had a penchant for writing and recording infectious melodies. His personal experiences, paired with his ceaseless work ethic, led him to establish his own record label in 2012, called Grind Nation. He used this label to produce mixtapes in his studio, Sound Vibes, located in Elkton, Maryland.
A multifaceted rapper, producer, songwriter, and sound engineer, BNAST believes in the diversity of sound, and in utilizing lyricisms that reflect his real life. His musical genius granted him the notable opportunity to perform at Spring Jam (sponsored by KISS 101.7) in 2014, where he performed “Lose It.” (This single of his quickly gained regional traction after that performance.) His music has also been heard and judged by the “artist & repertoire” and development executive branches of the music industry juggernauts, such as Atlantic Records, Epic Records, and Def Jam Recordings.
BNAST’s creative processes for his music are fueled by what he has gone through in his own life. And it is the sharing of his stories through his music that evokes
strong emotions within its listeners. What’s more, he possesses the musical brilliance to present music across a variety of genres, while maintaining the consistency of his particular sound. With big dreams and even bigger energy to bring those dreams into reality, BNAST seeks to positively influence society with the music he puts out. This is his ultimate ambition, and in his pursuit of it, he is well on the way to becoming one of the most phenomenal music artists today.
Chris Brown, Jay-Z, Ludacris, Meek Mill, Nelly, and Party Next Door are among BNAST’s favorite music artists—individuals whose talents transcended music itself, and whose names are household staples. It is BNAST’s hope that his music is as long-lasting and impactful as theirs has been and continues to be. His latest album, titled “Drippy Love,” which debuted in early 2020 represents his latest attempt at enlivening that hope. The songs of Drippy Lovetake clear inspiration from his favorite music artists and are steadily growing in popularity across all major streaming platforms. One of the singles of Drippy Love, titled “Right Here,” has garnered over 100,000 views, and rising.
“The goal isn’t to live forever, but to create something that does. I hope when people hear a BNAST song or track, they think, “Man, I’ve been there before!” or, “This is a whole vibe”.

Getmybuzzup: How would you describe your latest single “prevail”?
BNAST: I would say that it’s definitely soulful and catchy. It’s all about love & culture but most of all experiencing something new.
Getmybuzzup: Who are your inspirations in the music industry?
BNAST: I’m influenced by a lot of artists but a few of them include (RIP) Nipsey Hussle, Master P, 50 Cent, Chris Brown, Roddy Ricch, A Boogie, Ty Dolla $, PNB ROCK, and Tory Lanez. All of them bring something unique and different to the industry.
Getmybuzzup: How do you go about writing a song and what is your process?
BNAST: I like to keep the process simple. I like to keep my creativity by being in the moment. I’m not big on writing like many are, I just get in the studio and come off the top of my head and then write down what I feel like part of the flow afterwards. I try not to overcomplicate the process.
Getmybuzzup: What is the concept behind your forthcoming project?
BNAST: I don’t wanna give too much away but just know the story gets better. There’s some new music coming out, some new collaborations, things like that. That’s all I can say for now (laughing)
Getmybuzzup: What’s the concept of the music visual for the record “prevail”?
BNAST: BNAST tries to clean up his act but doesn’t wanna go through it alone.
Getmybuzzup: What is our dream collaboration?
BNAST: Roddy Ricch. He’s hot right now and I think we would make some dope.
Getmybuzzup: What are must-haves when you’re in the studio working?
BNAST: Shoot, I’m simple. Give me some Ice Cold Water, Baked White Cheddar Puffs, and a little gas (cannabis).
Getmybuzzup: What is the best piece of advice in this business you actually followed?
BNAST: Invest your Money and be committed & DEDICATED to the process.
Getmybuzzup: Do you think your music is mostly enjoyed more for the beats or for the musical flow and content?
BNAST: I’ve been told by many who have supported me that my music is enjoyed for the harmonic flows and vocals. I think people also appreciate the energy and effort that my team goes into making some dope visuals.
Getmybuzzup: What was the last album you listened to?
BNAST: E.R! She’s a raw talent.
Getmybuzzup: In your opinion who is the most influential and successful artist in your genre today and why?
BNAST: Lil Baby. He’s been authentically himself, raw and genuine.
Getmybuzzup: How do you feel about the current state of music?
BNAST: Honestly, It’s oversaturated but there’s something for everyone though. So many different and unique artists who make music for their audiences and you gotta respect people who make music. It’s therapeutic and you never know who you are reaching.
Getmybuzzup: Any dream award shows you hope to one day play at?
BNAST: Yes, there’s so many. But I love the culture so I’d have to say BET Awards.
Getmybuzzup: If you could work with any producer who would it be?
BNAST: NOAH 40. He’s dope.
Getmybuzzup: What is your dream venue to perform at?
BNAST: Venues are cool but I’m looking forward to live festivals again. Rolling Loud in L.A. is top of mind.
Getmybuzzup: What artist music are you currently a fan of?
BNAST: LIL DURK. He’s got a lot of talent as well.
Getmybuzzup: What can we expect from you in the future
BNAST: I hope to remain consistent with putting out quality content and making music that lasts longs beyond my years on this earth. I want to leave a legacy.
