BROKETILFRIDAY (@BrokeTilFriday4) Discusses New Single Florida Love, Passion for Music & More [Interview]

Getmybuzzup: Tell us a little about yourself?

BROKETILFRIDAY: My name is Kevin. I am a music artist from Los Angeles California. I Am 25 years old.

Getmybuzzup: How did you come up with the name BROKETILFRIDAY?

BROKETILFRIDAY: It’s Something I always heard growing up when it was time to pay for things. Everybody pled they were broke till Friday, so It kinda encouraged me at a young age to go get my own.

Getmybuzzup: How long have you been in the music industry?

BROKETILFRIDAY: I’ve been doing music for about a year. Never thought I would be doing music. It came out of nowhere.

Getmybuzzup: How did you get started in the first place?

BROKETILFRIDAY: So when I got out of prison, I started training for basketball because I still had my scholarship from before prison. Long story short I tore my ACL and MCL. I was at my sister’s house bored recovering. A thought came in my head after seeing a  Lil Baby interview. I looked up a type beat on YouTube. And I’m here now.

Getmybuzzup: How would you describe your latest single “Florida Love”?

BROKETILFRIDAY: A girl I did dirty before I went to prison. Moved to Florida, she was a solid female, I was just on some Bozo shit. She gave me another chance. So I end up traveling back and forth to see her. And start calling her my Florida love.

Getmybuzzup: Any plans on shooting a music video for the record “Florida Love”?

BROKETILFRIDAY: It Out Now On Youtube. It’s my most viewed video.

Getmybuzzup: Any plans on touring to promote your latest single?

BROKETILFRIDAY: I haven’t got to that level yet. God willing one day I can tour. Its no rush tho. I love the process of making music and starting from 0.

Getmybuzzup: How difficult is it with COVID restictions to promote your music?

BROKETILFRIDAY: Lil Baby, Young Thug, and Meek Mill. Mostly Lil Baby because we got a similar story. So 90% of the stuff he say I feel like he talking about me.

Getmybuzzup: How do you go about writing a song and what is your process?

BROKETILFRIDAY: I don’t write. I got in the booth and close my eyes and just express myself. I don’t know if that good or bad. But it’s the only way I been doin it since I started.

Getmybuzzup: What is the concept behind your forthcoming project?

BROKETILFRIDAY: Being myself. Accepting myself for the good and bad. Not just rapping about what people wanna hear.

Getmybuzzup: What did you buy with your first check off music?
