DAP The Contract releases single “Das Mine” featuring Tone and SO4P. This is the latest installment in #ContractThursdays, where DAP releases a new song every Thursday and gives a taste of his versatile vibe.
As seen through working with Mark Ronson thanks to a collaboration with Noisey and Converse Rubber Tracks, DAP The Contract is an artist with incredible potential and his drive to inspire is unparalleled. With an Ivy League education and an awareness of the world around him, DAP is set on making a difference with his art. Enjoy this video stream below after the jump.
Born in Lagos, Nigeria, and coming from an entirely musical family, DAP started playing the piano at the age of 4, passed his ABRSM Grade 8 Piano with distinction at 13, and went on to attain a DipABRSM Performance Diploma on the Piano at 17. After high school in London, U.K., he attended the Berklee College of Music for two semesters as part of a gap year, with the intention of majoring in Contemporary Writing & Production or Music Production & Engineering. On his departure after the summer, DAP released a mixtape titled GoodBye For Now. He recorded at the renowned Abbey Road Studios in London with grammy award winning “Uptown Funk” producer Mark Ronson after being selected for a competition produced by Converse in the fall of 2015. DAP went on to graduate from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island with a BA in Classics (Latin & Greek) and Computer Music & Multimedia. Although he is a relative newcomer in the music industry, he fully intends on making his mark in a major way.
