In this clip, Daylyt discussed the racial privilege that white people possess when it comes to creating and how Black artists and Black people, in general, don’t have the same privilege. He spoke about a white rapper making a song about masturbation and it is okay, but a Black artist would be categorically dubbed as weird. Daylyt also discussed how Black people perpetuate these rigid ideas as well by saying rappers always have to be “cool.”
Later on, Daylyt elaborated on how detrimental this idea of being “cool” is for Black people by drawing up a few different scenarios where things he says are good for Black people are often scoffed at.
