Doodie Lo – “Time Out” [Video]

With a gruff and commanding rap voice, Only The Family signee Doodie Lo always keeps it real. Displaying the charismatic tough-talk that endeared him to Lil Durk, Doodie Lo shares Time Out,” his latest video. Populated with horror movies and pianos, “Time Out” finds Doodie Lo in a boastful mood, bragging about his NBA2K skills and warning opps about his violent tendencies. The video finds Doodie Lo gathering his crew in his hometown, the Chicago-adjacent neighborhood of Kankakee, Illinois, as they mob on a basketball court and chill on porches. “Time Out” is a standout track from Lil Durk Presents: Only The Family Vol. 2, a compilation mixtape that showcases the talents of all OTF signees. Enjoy this video stream below after the jump and please share this with friends.

Alternating snapping bars with a raspy auto-tuned croak, Doodie Lo often explores the melodic side of Chicago street rap. Doodie Lo garnered a local hit with his Lil Durk collaboration “James Bond” (158k Spotify plays), shined on his Lil Durk Presents: Only The Family Involved Vol. 1 contribution “Don’t Forget,” and earned over 110k streams on Spotify for “Time Out.”

With a young and hungry roster of Chicago-born emcees, Lil Durk’s OTF label signees, including King Von, have made their intentions clear–they’re coming to take over the game. Drill’s new crown prince King Von racked up more than 30 million views on his breakout hit Crazy Story,” and teamed up with Durk for “Crazy Story 2.0.” Tearing up the scene with his Lil Durk and Lil Zay Osama collab “Let Em Know,” melodic mastermind Booka600 prepares to release his mixtape Word To LA this spring. King Von, Booka600, and the rest of the roster, including Doodie Lo, OTF Ikey, and Memo600 will join their mentor and CEO onstage throughout Durk’s “Signed To The Streets III Tour,” performing the best tracks from their soon-to-be released projects. The OTF crew showcased their talents in two label mixtapes released last year, Lil Durk Presents: Only The Family Involved Vol. 1, released last summer, and its sequel, released just before the New Year.
