Engine is ripped off as Chinese plane lands in a downpour in Manila – Daily Mail

A Chinese Xiamen Air plane has veered off a rain-soaked runway when attempting to land in the Philippines. The aircraft landed on its second attempt before skidding onto the grass and ripping off its left engine, Manila International airport general manager Ed Monreal said. Passengers escaped via emergency chutes but no injuries were reported. An investigation is underway to establish the cause of the accident.
