Tre Capital releases his new EP ‘HERO’ marking the LA-native rapper’s second independent release since leaving his label, out now via indie distribution platform Stem. Trending on Apple Music’s Hip-Hop New Releases, the project is executive produced by Josh Simmons with Co-EP and Capital’s long-time collaborator Wondagurl. Enjoy this audio stream below after the jump and please share this with friends.

“The album is about me destroying the definition attached to the word Hero simply because it does not relate to our times. A lot of negative energy is applied daily because people are more susceptible to hiding behind positions of power simply off status,” says Tre Capital of the record.

Jay-Z said, “Dark knight feeling, die and be a Hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” This quote inspired Tre Capital’s album‘Hero’ because he explains it made him aware of the choice that heroic people make in sacrificing everything to help and give to others. The concept for the project is about destroying the traditional definition attached to the word ‘hero’, which is too often associated with ‘superhero’, and proving to people that the choice in being a hero and helping others isn’t always the easiest but the most rewarding.

Tre Capital is the founder of the collective known as D.LX (Deluxe) composed of writers, producers & artists. His debut mixtape “Heaven Isn’t Far from Here” released in December of 2013. The highly well recognized Gundam Pt. I EP premiered on Complex Magazine September of 2014 featuring Toronto’s Sean Leon, Deazy, Grammy Nominated Multi-Platinum Producer Wondagurl, Multi-Platinum Producer Eestbound, Prezident Jeff, Thomson, Sunny Norway, & K-Beatz; receiving notable reputation within the music industry.
