Getmybuzzup: Tell us a little about yourself?
Ero Seagull: I’m one human being that enjoys the little things in life like doing my bed. I love music. I listen to it all the time. I love Baroque Music lately. I believe in a different kind of world where all is united. I have a strong belief in humankind. I believe that we want to be the best versions of ourselves and we adjust. Now we need to adjust to a new system where we take care of the homeless for instance. It is 2020 and we still haven’t done the basic. No war no hunger.
Getmybuzzup: How long have you been in the music industry?
Ero Seagull: In the music industry I’ve been for a year. I signed with EMI and Amour Records last year.
Getmybuzzup: How did you get started in the first place?
Ero Seagull: I’ve always been into music. I started playing the piano when I was 5 then I learned guitar and drums on my own and I always sang. At university I discovered a black beauty. A Yamaha piano in the music room and I’d go there and play. Coming back from uni in a strange state I wrote the song You Bring The Light and I took it to my best friend Stefanos and he composed the music and we recorded it. Few years pass and after having written more songs I decide to take part in The Peoples Music Awards, with a poetic song that changed forms. I chose the Off The Beaten Track category and I won the Judges Round and I went to play in the venue Scala where it was an eye-opener because I had communicated so many thoughts to the audience through one song. They all loved it and I told myself this is where I belong. Two years ago I thought to create more songs and release my album Evolution.
Getmybuzzup: How would you describe your latest single “My Baby”?
Ero Seagull: This one is a Pop song. Marilena Orfanou, Ekelon and I collaborated together. It’s about Borderline personality. One night in Athens I was out and I was speaking to a girl over her last relationship and I recognized many things her boyfriend did because I’m also a borderline and I’ve dated borderline people before. And it came to me that I want to write about it and also be released by my daemons. And so came My Baby.
Getmybuzzup: Where can people find your new single “My Baby”?
Ero Seagull: My promoters will release it soon and the best advice I can give is to just follow me on Spotify or YouTube or even my pages on Instagram or Facebook where I update them with my news.
Getmybuzzup: Who are your inspirations in the music industry?
Ero Seagull: Oh, I can’t start with my inspirations… I love Beyoncé, DRE, everyone really. I appreciate people’s work. Music is a Muse and we all follow her.
Getmybuzzup: How do you go about writing a song and what is your process?
Ero Seagull: I come up with a theme or I could be reading a poem and an idea comes about a song and I start brainstorming around it. Then I start writing the lyrics and I hear it in my mind how I wish it to be. My mind is musical. Then I collaborate with my crew and we create it together.
Getmybuzzup: What is the concept behind your debut album “Evolution”?
Ero Seagull: There is no concept, that’s the concept. All songs vary musically and theme-wise. I just recorded ideas I had and here came Evolution. My evolution as an artist. My evolution in general.
Getmybuzzup: Any plans on touring to promote the song “My Baby”?
Ero Seagull: I wish I could make plans. First, I need to see when the quarantine will be over and it’s safe to go out and I believe it will come naturally.
Getmybuzzup: What are must-haves when you’re in the studio working?
Ero Seagull: A cup of tea or coffee J.
Getmybuzzup: What is the best piece of advice in this business you actually followed?
Ero Seagull: Follow your dream and bet on it!
Getmybuzzup: Will you be collaborating with any other artists on this forthcoming project or in the future?
Ero Seagull: Yes, I will be collaborating with Anna Casado and many other surprises.
Getmybuzzup: Do you think your music is mostly enjoyed more for the beats or for the lyrical flow and content?
Ero Seagull: I guess it’s the combination. Most people in Athens applaud my song Achilles’ Heel because they keep it in their heart or What’s in a Romeo because they appreciate it lyrically and musically.
Getmybuzzup: What area do you need to improve on in regards to your career? (Example: Better production, Delivery, Stage presence, etc..)
Ero Seagull: I believe I’m perfectly imperfect in one way. I do wish to improve myself though in all aspects. A friend of mine and Artist Coach Katerina Panopoulou once asked me to write down my goal and I started by sharing my vision. To get there I need much improvement. What stops me from this? Nothing. It needs discipline. And I guess I’m bad at that. So I’ll say I need improvement in this area.
Getmybuzzup: What’s your all-time favorite song?
Ero Seagull: I really like Dreams by the Irish Band The Corrs.
Getmybuzzup: What was the last album you listened to?
Ero Seagull: Tori Amos Boys for Pele.
Getmybuzzup: In your opinion who is the most influential and successful artist in your genre today and why?
Ero Seagull: Too Many T’s are the smartest lyrically, in my opinion, I can not possibly do their rapping no matter how I try. They are the best in my genre.
Getmybuzzup: Who has been some of your favorite artists that you’ve been able to work with?
Ero Seagull: Leon Rhymes who is from Too Many T’s the band I just mentioned, Marilena Orfanou from the band Someone Who Isn’t Me, mrpc, Dieselbytes Supreme, Ekelon and much more.
Getmybuzzup: How do you feel about the current state of music?
Ero Seagull: I love the current state of music everything feels so open. But the system… It’s not beneficial for the musicians. Unless you are Lady Gaga music doesn’t support you really. I wish we find a better system to have musicians living from their music just like in every other occupation.
Getmybuzzup: Any dream award shows you hope to one day play at?
Ero Seagull: MTV Music Awards!
Getmybuzzup: What is your main goal as far as music?
Ero Seagull: I wanna change the world. I want to better it. I grew up thinking Michael Jackson and Lady D would because they were so influential but it didn’t happen exactly until I change it for the better I won’t stop creating.
Getmybuzzup: Who would you say your music relates to the most?
Ero Seagull: Everyone who wants to listen to something different.
Getmybuzzup: What separates you from other artists? (What’s makes you different?)
Ero Seagull: Nothing separates me from other artists we are all the same trying to communicate our deep thoughts into this beautiful medium called Music. I’m different because everyone is. It’s my perspective so even if I told you to write a song about Borderline Personality it would be unique because it is your perspective. We are different but we are the same.
Getmybuzzup: When you’re not in the studio, what do you like to do for fun and relaxation?
Ero Seagull: I like to see friends, listen to music, play games, play with my cats, go on a bicycle ride, read.
Getmybuzzup: If you could work with any producer who would it be?
Ero Seagull: Dre definitely!

Ero Seagull: I’ve played in Scala and in Stoa Fexi Project Space and they are both such amazing memories!
