Figg Panamera – “Money Talk” ft. 21 Savage [Video]

Figg Panamera

By Jack Barnes

A serial entrepreneur with an unstoppable experts, there are few in the rap game more qualified to talk money than Figg Panamera (fka JT The Bigga Figga). Mobbing in the trap house with the cold-blooded 21 Savage, Figg lets his ends speak for himself on Money Talk,” his latest music video. An intense clip with tight focus and disorienting close-ups, Figg, 21, and their crews tote guns and move to the lurching Zaytoven beat. Enjoy this video stream below after the jump.

Premiered by The FADER, “Money Talk” is the first video release off Cali Boy Down South, Figg’s latest album. Boasting highlights such as the insanely catchy, Mass Appeal-premiered Kevin Gates collaboration “Phone Ringing,” and the gruff-yet-nimble album thesis statement “Hand In Da Pot,” Cali Boy Down South is packed with OG wisdom and plenty of useful advice about how to keep your your pockets full.

Born in Fillmore, San Francisco, Joseph Tom was one of the foundational figures in the Bay Area’s original Mob Music scene. Using the rap name JT The Bigga Figga, he started Get Low Recordz in 1991, gathering some of the most talented emcees and producers in the Bay Area and releasing over 20 albums per year in the ’90s. In 1993, JT dropped “Game Recognize Game,” one of the first hyphy hits in the Bay Area. After producing and rhyming on hundreds of tracks in the Bay Area and elsewhere, with his production appearing on albums by the likes of The Game and Master P, JT relocated to Atlanta in the late ’00s, founding the label Fillmoelanta and changing his name to Figg Panamera. In Atlanta, Figg leant his experience and wisdom to artists and producers in the city’s bustling Hip-Hop scene, mentoring Zaytoven and working with artists like Young Thug and Young Scooter. With Cali Boy Down South, Figg reasserts his influence in the Bay and Atlanta scenes and creates an addictive, brilliantly produced trap album.
