Galore – the ultimate Gen Z destination for all things fashion, beauty, and lifestyle – will bring their first-ever GIRLCULT festival to Los Angeles on Sunday, August 20th , 2017 at the iconic Fonda Theatre. The event, aimed at Generation Z, will be presented by Goldenvoice and sponsored by Lime Crime with keynote speaker, supermodel and beauty mogul, Tyra Banks. Guests will also enjoy performances from Willow Smith, Chloe and Halle, Snoh Aalegra, Leaf, Sevyn Streeter, and more.
We are excited to launch GIRLCULT for women in Los Angeles and beyond. We yearned to create a music festival that felt very inclusive to all women, especially with everything going on with women’s rights in today’s climate” said Price Chenoa and Jacob Dekat, Founders, Creative Directors, and Editors-in-Chief of Galore. As two gay men, Chenoa and Dekat are themselves navigating their way through our current climate. Similar to the issues they fight for in their community, they saw the importance of having a place for Gen Z females to express themselves – making them feel like they have a responsibility to encourage women to feel empowered. “We wanted to give some of our favorite new artists a chance to touch everyone’s souls with their work. Each artist will be speaking on topics that are near and dear to them. This festival is the Lilith Fair for Generation Z girls who live in these confusing times.
We are so excited to have Chloe and Halle and Willow Smith perform, as they are artists who embody the spirit of female empowerment,” said Prince and Jacob.” “Tyra was a perfect choice, since she based her career off doing things first, and Kimora is a mom and mogul who can teach everyone a thing or two.
Attendees will also enjoy conversations from today’s top industry thought leaders and influencers affecting the lives of Generation Z. Female powerhouses and entrepreneurs, like Gigi Gorgeous, Kimora and Ming Lee Simmons, and Jamie King will take the stage for girl-power focused talks. Around 1,200 guests will also enjoy musical performances by Diana Gordon Dorothy, Jesse Jo Stark, Cailin Russo, and more.
Those interested in attending Galore’s GIRLCULT festival can purchase tickets on July 14th, 2017 at GIRLCULTFestival.com.
