How Jalen Rose Launched A Leadership Academy High School To Provide Opportunities To Detroit Youth

BET Off-Season celebrates athletes/celebrities giving back to their communities during their time away from the game. In this episode, BET travels to Detroit to visit the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy, the high school that Jalen Rose opened in 2011. Jalen shares with us his journey behind JRLA, an open-enrollment, tuition-free public charter high school. We go inside the halls to meet the administration and find out how their community comes together for the students of Detroit. Jalen ends up surprising one of the graduates who shares with us what life is like after graduation and how the academy continues to play a part in his life.
