Rising superstar, singer, actress, dancer, and songwriter Isabela Moner has released an original song, “I’ll Stay,” from the film Instant Family, which opens in theaters today. The song officially marks Moner’s first release under her new record deal with Republic Records. Enjoy this audio stream below after the jump and please share this with friends.
“I’ll Stay” is featured in the new comedy Instant Family—the latest blockbuster in which she co-stars with Mark Wahlberg, Rose Byrne, and Octavia Spencer.
Isabela personally co-wrote this uplifting anthem alongside Justin Tranter, Nick Monson, and Kennedi Lykken.
“Once we were done filming the movie I felt like I had more insight on the feelings I wanted to convey, so when Justin Tranter and I began to collaborate the writing process flowed effortlessly. I drew from my own personal experiences with the presence of unconditional love in the absence of being related by blood,” said Moner. “This song is very personal to me. I was very scared of sharing it with the world but Sean Anders was so encouraging and really helped me believe I could do it.”
About the song, the film’s director and co-writer Sean Anders commented, “After hearing her incredible music I was determined to get an original Isabela Moner song in Instant Family. She recorded “I’ll Stay” and it was absolutely perfect. A beautiful, heartfelt song with lyrics that are right on point. I believe “I’ll Stay” is going to be a treasured anthem for adopted young people and their families for years to come.”
Moner continues to make waves and headlines on screen and behind-the-mic. She recently co-wrote and lent her voice to Matt Hunter’s “Lista De Espera” and she featured on Sebastian Yatra’s remix “My Only One.” This past summer, she joined Academy Award® winner Benicio Del Toro and Academy Award® nominee Josh Brolin for Sicario: Day of the Soldado—the sequel to 2015’s Sicario. Next up, Moner will star in the live action film, Dora The Explorer.
Isabela Moner was born and raised with a strong Peruvian family heritage, and immediately chased her dreams at just 10 years old appearing in the Broadway revival of Evita. Through a tireless work ethic and undeniable talent, she quickly established a presence across film and television. By 2018, her credits would span everything from Michael Bay’s Transformers: The Last Knight to CBS Films’ Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life, Nickelodeon’s Legends of the Hidden Temple: The Movie, 100 Things To Do Before High School, and more. Recognized for her talents, she received “Rising Star of the Year” at the 2017 CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards.
