Jam Master Jay’s New Adidas Sneakers

By now, you might have seen that adidas plans to release a Pro Model – paying homage to the late Jam Master Jay.  Legendary Rap group Run DMC helped build the renowned shoe brand to what it is today, and adidas plans on making this iconic sneaker as tribute.

A lot of creative thought and vision when into the design, and I’d love to offer you an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into that process with the person who made it all happen: Adam Padilla, a respected artist and Founder of New York’s creative agency BrandFire, which has worked with Run DMC for many years. Adam also designed a Jam Master Jay record crate box for the shoe, making the shoe box an iconic collector’s item in itself.

The Pro Model paying homage to Jam Master Jay were debuted by Shake, who happens to be a close friend of Jay. Shake is known to be the first to release and debut memerobilia that surrounds the late great Jam Master Jay. Take a look at the pro model in the photos above.
