Breaking news for the Beyhive: Jay-Z explains why he and his wife, Beyoncé, settled on the names Sir and Rumi, for their newborn twins.
The rapper opened up to hosts Elliot Wilson and Brian Miller during their podcast Rap Radar and provided a little insight behind the meaning of the unique monikers.
“Rumi is our favorite poet, so it was for our daughter,” he shared. As for the musicians’ son, he said: “Sir was like, [a] man, out the gate. He carries himself like that. He just came out, like, Sir.”
Of course, being the proud papa he is, Jay also touched on his daughter Blue Ivy Carter making big strides with her cameo on his recent album 4:44. Read More…
