Mayor Kasim Reed
By Jack Barnes
Rolling Out got hold of a jaw-dropping audio recording where Norwood used racially coded language during a Buckhead Young Republicans meeting back in June 2017. After urging people not to record the conversation, she went on to blame her 2009 run-off loss to outgoing incumbent, Kasim Reed, on illegal voting tactics by claiming that he found voters who once lived in housing projects and bused them to voting booths. In the audio, she tells the audience, “It’s a lot harder to drive a van with six felons, you know guys who are going to commit felonies, if somebody’s watching.” Enjoy this video stream below after the jump.
