There are countless internal battles that we face. No matter what phase of life we’re in, we can always be sucked back into that place. It’s apart of us. Like we were born with it or cursed by it along the way. It’s terrifying. It will keep you up all night and chained in bed all day. The darkness follows you everywhere you go and there is no “seeing the bright side” or simply “cheering up”. We feel trapped yet we hide and feel ashamed. Escaping isn’t an option and the ability to seek help or be open about our situation is replaced with the fear of public perception. Enjoy this audio stream below after the jump.
Mental health has such a negative stigma and Keeley Shaye wants to be a part of the movement that changes that for the better. It starts by recognizing what that darkness looks like. What it feels like. It starts with understanding hopelessness and genuine defeat. This is the Dark Place.
