History was made on Thursday when the Senate confirmed Ketanji Brown Jackson to the United States Supreme Court. They voted 53 to 47 to confirm her as the 116th Supreme Court justice. When she is sworn in this summer, she will be the first Black woman to serve on the nation’s highest court.
