Back at it and better than ever! LAX Nightclub inside Luxor Hotel and Casino extends its list of February headliners with R&B singer Sisqo February 16 and Mystikal February 23 as part of its famed Throwback Thursday series. On Saturday, February 18 legendary DJ Quik will rock the house.
R&B singer and songwriter Sisqo began his music career as the lead singer of ’90s R&B group Dru Hill. After releasing his debut solo album “Unleash the Dragon,” Sisqo became a household name, dropping two of his major hits in 2000: “Thong Song” and “Incomplete.” The singer also delved into acting following his album’s success, starring in the teen comedy “Get Over It” and signing a development deal with NBC.
Rapper Mystikal skyrocketed on the charts in the summer of 1999 with the No. 1 single “Danger (Been So Long).” He has since released hits including “I Smell Smoke,” “If It Ain’t Live, It Ain’t Me” and “Bouncin’ Back,” which was nominated for a GRAMMY in 2003. Mystikal is a New Orleans native and has received two GRAMMY nominations for Best Male Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Album.
West Coast rapper DJ Quik released his debut album “Quik Is the Name” in 1990. The platinum-selling album spawned two radio hits: “Tonite” and “Born and Raised in Compton.” DJ Quik has steadily recorded new music over the years, while also racking up a list of production credits with artists including Tupac, Shaquille O’Neal, Xzibit, Talib Kweli, Jay-Z, Jadakiss, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, and more.
Every Thursday at LAX Nightclub, DJs spin favorite hits from the ’80s and ’90s, with several memorable Throwback performers hosting select nights throughout the year.
