LAX Nightclub welcomes headliners Ma$e, Ying Yang Twins and WC from Westside Connection to the stage in early October. Ma$e will perform Saturday, Oct. 1, Ying Yang Twins will perform Thursday, Oct. 6 and WC will perform Saturday, Oct. 8.
“We’re thrilled with the tremendous success we’ve achieved with our Throwback Thursday series at LAX,” said Anthony Olheiser, executive director of brand activation at Luxor. “We’re seeing a big demand for these popular artists and look forward to their frequent performances. While Throwback Thursdays remain a leading focus for us, we’re excited to deliver top talent to our clubgoers on additional nights.”
Harlem rapper Ma$e rose to stardom in the late ’90s for his popular collaborations with other artists. Among the songs for which he is most well-known are The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Mo Money Mo Problems” with Puff Daddy, Fat Joe’s “Lean Back” with Eminem, Lil Jon and Remy Martin, and Kanye West’s “Jesus Walks” featuring Common.
Dirty South hip hop duo Ying Yang Twins skyrocketed on the charts in 2000 with the release of the popular single “Whistle While You Twurk.” They released their debut album, “Thug Walkin’,” later that year. Other popular hits include “Wait (The Whisper Song),” “Badd,” and “Shake.” The pair also collaborated with Britney Spears on her “In The Zone” song “I Got That (Boom Boom).”
Godfather of gangsta rap WC began his career with the groups Low Profile and WC and the Maad Circle, before launching a solo career that earned him hits including “Better Days” and “Just Clownin’.” In 1996, he formed Westside Connection with Mack 10 and Ice Cube. The group’s debut album “Bow Down” went platinum the year it was released and features fan-favorite songs including “Gangstas Make the World Go Round.”
