Leading the vanguard of street melodicism, Chitown hero Lil Durk is growing ever more comfortable in his new ATL surroundings. Blending the sounds of his birth city and adoptive hometown, Durk announces Durkio Krazya full-length collaboration with DY of influential ATL production crew 808 Mafia. Releasing later in 2018, the project exhibits a deep chemistry between rapper and producer, with Durk’s melodic, defiant, and deeply personal bars soaring over DY’s ethereal production. Last week, Durk shared Durkio Krazy,” the project’s title track and mission statement, which has earned over 150,000 YouTube views since its release on Friday. Recounting his childhood and reaffirming his loyalty to his friends, Durk soars over aqueous keys and snapping snares courtesy of the 808 Mafia beatmaker.

After a busy 2017, Durk looks to sustain his momentum throughout another great year. “Durkio Krazy” follows 1-(773) Vulture,” a street twist on Logic‘s smash hit “1-800-273-8255,” with a powerful video dedicated to the late Fredo Santana. The remix followed Durk’s “India” video, dedicated to his girlfriend India Royale, a track from October’s Signed to the Streets 2.5, one of Durk’s four projects in 2017. The OTF spitter turned heads in December with Bloodas, an album-length collaboration with Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley. Earlier in 2017, Durk teamed up with fellow Drill movement rapper Lil Reese for their Supa Vultures EP. 2017 also cemented Durk as one of Hip-Hop’s most prolific collaborators, appearing on Young Thug’EBBTGTrae Tha Truth‘s Tha Truth 3Mozzy‘s 1 Up Top Ahk, and Ralo x Gucci Mane‘s Ralo LaFlare. Fans can stay tuned for Durkio Krazy and Signed To The Streets 3, slated to release this year.
