Lil Tjay On A Boogie Comparisons & Bieber Not Clearing “Baby” Sample | For The Record

Following a whirlwind year that included a slew of highly-streamed singles and a feature on Polo G’s Hot 100 hit, “Pop Out,” rapper Lil Tjay dropped his debut studio album, ‘True 2 Myself.’ On the album, Tjay raps about growing up in the Bronx, losing friends to the streets, and navigating his come up—all perfectly auto-tuned and layered over 808s.
