Last night Lil Yachty while in NYC performed three songs from his new album, Teenage Emotions. He also spoke at the “Stop at Nothing” Panel to launch the new Samsung Galaxy Book. Yachty – Samsung’s newest family member – joined the twin founders of sneaker brand APL and Players’ Tribune founder Jaymee Messler to candidly discuss the new face of today’s modern entrepreneur on a panel moderated by Forbes. At the event, 19-year-old Lil Yachty shared his advice for young business innovators, creatives and entrepreneurs on the rise:
- Maintain Relationships – “I maintained friendships and relationships not because I wanted anything from them or that I wanted them to check out my single – just for conversation and to stay real with people.”
- Use Your Moment – “I never expected my first song to go viral” Lil Yachty credits the power of social media to his rise to fame but says he never expected it to get the response it has. “Technology along with social media can bring your thoughts to life – it’s like you automatically get a push and think – something can happen here. The Samsung Galaxy Book is going to help with my ideas – it’s compact to take on the go and it’s colors are bursting off the screen.”
- Be True To Yourself – When Yachty decided to no longer pursue college, he shared that he didn’t have many in his court supporting him. “I knew I didn’t want to live a normal lifestyle. I didn’t want to be one of those people who went to college and spent the rest of my life paying it back.”
The Samsung Galaxy Book is a 2-in-1 device as powerful as a laptop but as mobile as a tablet, delivering productivity and agility that today’s creators and entrepreneurs need.
