Getmybuzzup: Tell us a little about yourself? (Such as where your from, etc)

Linda Washington: My name is Linda Washington and I am from Springfield mass born and raised I am a mother of four, I have been working in the medical field as a nurse for over 15 years, I am a published author of my book called )Forbidden and broken finding love behind the scars_ I am a breast cancer survivor and just became a recording artist of my sing called (Missing you ft Superstar Lamar).

Getmybuzzup: How long have you been in the music industry?

Linda Washington: I am new at all this I just started early this year in 2020. I always enjoyed singing in church when I was younger.

Getmybuzzup: How did you get started in the music business in the first place?

Linda Washington: After my breast cancer and how I was physically and mentally and verbally abused. Was told I needed to get used to being treated like this because I wasn’t a real woman anymore. That no one would ever want me hearing and going through that it scared my soul, To the point, I gave up on dating for over ten years and I wrote my song to help cancer survivors not go through what I did, I want them to believe and find love again and to be loved for who they are not what they went through.

Getmybuzzup: How would you describe your latest single “Missing You”?

Linda Washington: My single is about missing yourself after breast cancer, Finding your inner peace within to know that you are more than your disease.

Getmybuzzup: What was it like working with Superstar Lamar on the single?

Linda Washington: It was amazing working with Superstar Lamar,  He felt and heard my pain and help me wrote this wonderful song. This song comes from the deeper part of my soul.

Getmybuzzup: When can fans expect the visuals for this single?

Linda Washington: I am working on that right now, planning on doing something online.

Getmybuzzup: Who are your inspirations in the music industry?

Linda Washington: I am old school, and I like Luther Vandross, Barry White, and Keith Sweat. Songs that had meaning to them.

Getmybuzzup: How do you go about writing a song and what is your process?

Linda Washington: I am a published author of (forbidden and broken finding love behind the scars) and I write about my life experiences in my life.

Getmybuzzup: What is the concept behind your forthcoming project if your working on one?

Getmybuzzup: Any plans on touring to promote your latest single?

Linda Washington: Everything is up in the air with this virus. But I would love to.

Getmybuzzup: How difficult is it juggling being an artist as well as being an author?

Linda Washington: There’s no juggling because I write what I am feeling and I take from there and sing from the heart. They really work together.

Getmybuzzup: What made you get into writing books?

Linda Washington: Because of what I had to endure when I decided to try dating again after breast cancer. The shame and the hurt of being rejected over and over again because you are a breast cancer survivor. People making you feel worthless because you are a breast cancer survivor.

Getmybuzzup: What did you buy with your first check off music?

Getmybuzzup: What is the best piece of advice in this business you actually followed?

Linda Washington: Know who to trust because Everyone isn’t for you so you have to know who is there for you and who wants to see you fail. And.What I notice you will have complete strangers in your corner and not too many family. You have to be cautious to see who has your best interest at heart no who is there for you and who’s not. Having the right people in your corner.
