When Lloyd came on the scene with the song “Southside” in 2004, he not only had a distinct sound, but also a unique look. The New Orleans’ native had a head full of beautiful curls most naturals would dream of rocking, but the singer went through his own hair transition, so to speak, when he chopped off his locks in 2010.

While part of the impetus for the chop was donating the hair to a charity for kids with cancer, when Llloyd stopped by our office, he also told us, looking back, he realizes that act was the first step toward the Buddhist lifestyle he now lives.
