Canadian Singer/songwriter Maurice Moore is calling all hearts – yellow emoji ones to be exact – with the release of his highly anticipated new mixtape The Amber Room.  The 13-track project, which is available across all digital platforms, is modern-day R&B perfected with a blend of hip-hop and nostalgic harmonies that are reminiscent of the 90s.  The Amber Room takes listeners on a journey that is relatable and touches on subjects such as love, relationships, issues, and experiences that we all go through, specifically in our teenage years and early twenties. Enjoy this audio stream below after the jump.

When asked about the inspiration behind the project, Maurice stated “The Amber Room became a metaphor for this journey/treasure hunt that we all face in trying to find meaning and a sense of purpose in our lives. It was a room that was made out of precious gold that the nazis seized during WW2, and it has never been seen since. Modern day treasure hunters are still searching for it to this day. I view The Amber Room as a state of mind, as a treasure that never stops giving. Ironically I found myself through the creation of this project, which the world now gets to hear. I tell my story of self-discovery through the lens of my romantic relationships, my family dynamic, my own troubles, and my summer obsession. I hope you love the mixtape as much I loved creating it, I poured my heart into it .”

After penning songs for artists such as Justine Skye and Marques Houston, collaborating with Kehlani, and generating massive buzz on the internet, the young double platinum crooner is excited to unveil The Amber Room, his debut full-length project.
