Mike ADHD talks Debut Album, what Separates Him From other Artist [Interview]

Getmybuzzup: Tell us a little about yourself?
Mike ADHD: My name is Mike ADHD. I’m from Long Island, New York.
Getmybuzzup: How long have you been in the music industry?
Mike ADHD: I’m 25 now. I did My first show at 16 so 9 years.
Getmybuzzup: How did you get started in the first place?
Mike ADHD: I would write remixes to songs when I was young. First started recording with a friend doing funny skits on a cassette recorder. Eventually I tried to start a band that never happened and here I am. 
Getmybuzzup: How would you describe your sound?
Mike ADHD: Foster care music
Getmybuzzup: Who are your inspirations in the music industry?
Mike ADHD: My family.
Getmybuzzup: What are you currently working on?
Mike ADHD: My debut album drops Saturday. 13 songs
Getmybuzzup: What is the concept behind your latest project?
Mike ADHD: A product of the foster system.

Getmybuzzup: Any plans on touring to promote your latest project?
Mike ADHD: Yes I’ve been to Canada and Cali this year. I’ll be booking dates in 2018

Getmybuzzup: What did you buy with your first check off music?
Mike ADHD: I paid my rent. I’m not materialistic. I would like to invest in my own studio.

Getmybuzzup: What is the best piece of advice in this business you actually followed?
Mike ADHD: “It’s business” every man for themself.img_20171029_121128_800

Getmybuzzup: Will you be collaborating with any other artists on this project or in the future?
Mike ADHD: I am open to work with artists of any genre. I have a few features on the album.

Getmybuzzup: Do you think your music is mostly enjoyed more for the beats or for the lyrical flow and content?
Mike ADHD: Both. The album had a wide beat selection from trap style beats to boom bap. The content is all original. I don’t promote drug sales and jewelry. It’s not my thing.

Getmybuzzup: What area do you need to improve on in regards to your career? (Example: Better production, Delivery, Stage presence, etc..)
Mike ADHD: I hope I just keep cool with all the snakes around. Haha all jokes aside I would like to learn how to use studio equipment.

Getmybuzzup: What’s your all-time favorite song?
Mike ADHD: To many to pick!

Getmybuzzup: In your opinion who is the most influential and successful artist in your genre today and why?
Mike ADHD: Tech N9ne. His indie hustle is unmatched. I would say Dr Dre, Jay Z, Diddy, 50 Cent for their business mentality.

Getmybuzzup: Who have been some of your favorite artists that you’ve been able to work with?
Mike ADHD: Sid Wilson, Baby Eazy E, Bizarre, Young Dirty Bastard, Intell, Goretex, Ju Muny, Ruste Juxx, Hussein Fatal.

Getmybuzzup: How do you feel about the current state of music?
Mike ADHD: It sucks physical copies of CD’s aren’t popular anymore.

Getmybuzzup: What is your main goal as far as music?
Mike ADHD: To give a voice to orphans, foster kids, veterans and people dealing with issues.

Getmybuzzup: Who Would you say your music relates to the most?
Mike ADHD: Me!

Getmybuzzup: What separates you from other artists? (What’s makes you different?)
Mike ADHD: I don’t rap about selling drugs, I don’t hold guns in videos. My style is unique.

Getmybuzzup: When your not in the studio, What do you like to do for fun and relaxation?
Mike ADHD: I can’t relax I’m always planning the next move.

Getmybuzzup: If you could work with any producer who would it be?
Mike ADHD: Too many to name but DJ Premier or Dr Dre.

Getmybuzzup: What’s the biggest highlight of your career thus far?
Mike ADHD: Performing in Canada was amazing.

Getmybuzzup: What artist music are you currently a fan of?
Mike ADHD: Right now! I’ve been listening to Method Man and Juicy J 

Getmybuzzup: When performing live what are some of the things you do to get the crowd involved?
Mike ADHD: I’ve climbed speakers, threw my hat, connect with them. It really depends. I’m comfortable performing with out lip singing. I’ve done about 200 shows.

Getmybuzzup: When performing and the crowd is singing along how does that energy make you feel?
Mike ADHD: When the crowd gives the energy back I get more into the performance for sure.

Getmybuzzup: What can we expect from you in the future?
Mike ADHD: More music videos and shows

Getmybuzzup: Anything else you wanna add?
Mike ADHD: ORPHAN VETERAN” my debut album drops Veterans Day Saturday 11/11/17
