Sacramento rapper Mozzy drops the official visual for “Excuse Me” featuring Bay area legend Too $hort as well as Yhung T.O. and DCMBR. The SUJ-directed visual captures the group partying poolside with friends in the Hills, a perfect fit for the song’s appealing NorCal bounce. Reece Beats can be credited with production on the track. “I wanted to make something the people can function with inside the club and the radio can gravitate to,” Mozzy told Complex, who premiered the video earlier today. “This song has become one of the biggest songs on Gangland Landlord.” Enjoy this video stream below after the jump and please share this with friends.

Mozzy’s latest album Gangland Landlord (Mozzy Records/EMPIRE) dropped earlier this month to rave reviews for its lyrical prowess and social consciousness. Previous single releases include “Thugz Mansion” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and YG (which pays homage to the late Tupac Shakur), “Not Impressive”, “Walk Up” and “Choke On Me.” Mozzy is set to take the stage at Rolling Loud Los Angeles on December 15th among the best of his peers and will be announcing additional tour dates in the near future.

ABOUT MOZZY
Authenticity is like pornography—you know it when you see it. Or hear it, in the case of Mozzy, who makes music about his life growing up on the streets of Sacramento’s challenging Oak Park neighborhood. Over the last few years, he’s emerged as one of hip hop’s most essential storytellers. He raps with unmistakable patina of truth about the grinding realities of drugs, gangs and violence. Mozzy’s father was a felon and his mother was absent; he was raised by aunts and his grandmother, a member of the Black Panther Party. Mozzy grew up with an intimate understanding of the drug trade, both the luxurious lifestyle it can provide and the drastic risks it carries. When he started rapping, he was determined to present street narratives with the nuance they deserve. Mozzy first acquired national attention in 2015, when he released a series of full-lengths including Yellow Tape Activities and Bladadah. He caught the eye of a number of national outlets with his compelling blend of richly detailed narratives and hard-hitting production infused with lush NorCal funk. Mozzy’s recent features include “Seasons” (with Sjava and Reason) on the Black Panther movie soundtrack and “Too Brazy” on YG’s Stay Dangerous album.
