There is nothing more carnival in the world than the Rio Festival. If you want to listen to samba and dance to the beating drums, then this is a festival to experience. The carnival parade is the focal point but all around Rio de Janeiro, you can find small events, parties and gigs to listen to. Nothing feels formal or forced here – it’s just fun!

SXSW, Austin, Texas, USA

Have you watched James Bond: Spectre? Then the opening scenes will show you just how cool Dia de Los Muertos festival is. Well, you probably won’t encounter James Bond. The Day of the Dead event has become a lavish street party in Mexico City – there is plenty of stunningly tasty Mexican food available and great mariachi music to listen to.
