Grammy-nominated and Platinum-selling artist Musiq Soulchildhas released visuals for the first two singles from his upcoming album, Feel the Realvia Billboard today, along with the album’s artwork. While “Simple Things” is a soulful ode to appreciating the basic essentials of life, “Start Over” feels especially close to home. The video features SoulStar Music Company / eOne Music recording artist  Kameelah “Meelah” Williams – former lead singer of 702. Enjoy this video stream below after the jump.

Pre-order Feel the Real today on iTunes and everywhere digital music is sold; and instantly receive “Simple Things” and “Start Over” on iTunes. The 24-track double disc is sure to take listeners on a melodic journey through the essence of Hip Hop Soul in true Musiq Soulchild fashion.

“‘Start Over’ is something like a ‘what if” scenario,” says Musiq. “Everyone has their own ‘the one that got away’ story, maybe they or you found someone else, maybe too much time has passed, maybe for whatever reasons things just didn’t work out. Now imagine for a moment you had the chance to try again… how would you ‘Start Over?'”

Musiq continues, “‘Simple Things’ is about waking up, breathing fresh air, drinking clean water, eating good food, having a comfortable place to sleep, spending time with people who make you happy, and instead of stressing over things you don’t have, just remembering to be grateful for what you do.”

Musiq just wrapped the two-month Nu Soul Revival Tour, which also featured Lyfe Jennings, Kindred The Family Soul and Avery*Sunshine, with other guests in select cities.

Among his many accolades and accomplishments, Musiq Soulchild has had two RIAA certified Platinum albums, two Gold albums and eight hit singles. His awards include honors from Billboard, BET, ASCAP, BMI, and Soul Train. He has also been nominated for several others, including recognition from MTV, the American Music Awards, the NAACP, and 12 Grammy nominations, including one for the single “I Do,” from his 2016 album Life on Earth.
