About Mysonne “The General” Linen:
Mysonne Linen is an independent hip hop artist, father and dedicated social activist. Hailing from the Bronx, NY, music helped Mysonne through his darkest moments. Losing his father at 11 and growing up amid a treacherous, poverty-stricken world of drugs, gangs and violence, Mysonne poured his energy into hip hop and his other love, basketball. As a young man, Mysonne had landed a major record deal when he was misidentified as the culprit in an armed robbery. His experience with wrongful conviction compelled him to do more than rap about the social and economic conditions of the ghetto; he came back ready to make change. Mysonne mentors incarcerated youth through The Gathering for Justice, an organization founded by Harry Belafonte, and is active in Justice League NYC, organizing and speaking out against police brutality and biased policing. In 2015, he was part of the organizing committee of a national mobilization, the March2Justice, and he performed a spoken word live at the 20th Anniversary of the Million Man March. He is the founder of New Bronx City, an independent music production company, and has collaborated with artists like Chinx Drugz, Rick Ross,  Pusha T, and The Game.
