Nello Luchi
By Jack Barnes
Brooklyn based MC Nello Luchi drops off her new visual for the K’riem Scott (@kri3m) produced I Remember, off of the EP: “Welcome: The Audio Movie, Pt. 1”. The track samples the Extra P (Large Professor) remix of Common Sense’s 1995 Resurrection. She speaks on her most vivid childhood memories growing up in her Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood. Enjoy this video stream below after the jump.
Nello opens the track by recreating the scene of when she saw Lil Kim’s tears as Biggie’s body past through his block for the final time. She also drops a reference to Nas shouting out her block on You Wouldn’t Understand off his 2012 album Life Is Good. Nello exhibits her great storytelling skills over this nostalgic cut.
The visual was co-directed by Nello & Taylor Flash (@taylor_flash)
