“The same party that me, Yachty, Nessly, Carti, everybody used to go to—House of Lotus,” recalls the artist formerly known as Burberry Perry. “Trippie Redd used to try to sneak in—which is so hilarious.” During a recent visit to MASS APPEAL HQ, TheGoodPerry remembered the days when the Atlanta music scene was “just a get-together.”
How humble were the beginnings of the scene? Well, the producer who made “One Night” for Lil Yachty says he was living in his car at the time. He picked up the name Burberry Perry because he used to wear a fake Burberry scarf. But after he used the name on a mixtape he was ordered to cease & desist by attorneys from the Burberry brand. Needless to say he’s moved on from that setback, most recently dropping the ‘Make It Home Safe’ mixtape. This is the good episode of Open Space. Check it out.
