Don’t call YK Osiris a rapper. “I’m a singer,” says the Jacksonville, Florida native who blew up off the viral hit “Valentine” and caught the eye of Def Jam exec Steven Victor. “People try to label me as a rapper. I prefer myself as a young man who’s a ladies’ man, and I sing.” Inspired by Michael Jackson, Osiris is aiming to ascend to the highest heights of the music industry. “I had to cut off a lot of people,“ Said YK during a recent visit to MASS APPEAL HQ. “It was hard but I had/ to do it for me to proceed to the next level.“ Check out the latest episode of Open Space right now.
