Possible Dam Failure Prompts Virginia Evacuation

(3 Aug 2018) Heavy rains prompted authorities to evacuate parts of Lynchburg, Virginia. News outlets citing the National Weather Service reported Thursday that a failure of the College Lake Dam could flood the city with 17 feet of water in seven minutes. (Aug. 3)
