In a 2015 interview with police, Jose E. Ferreira Jr. describes visiting the gravesite of 13-year-old Carrie Ann Jopek, who disappeared from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1982. Ferreira tells police how he buried her body under the backyard porch of a nearby house and later returned to the grave, where he cried and apologized.
