RetcH Releases a Ferocious Comeback Project Entitled “Still Up” [Audio]

RetcH

By Jack Barnes

Riding his low-pitched croak over scuzzy instrumentals, New Jersey rapper RetcH earned millions of streams and video views for his raw rhymes and reckless antics. Returning for an intense and speaker-rattling 8-track project, RetcH flexes on Still Up. His first project since his release from jail in October, Still Up is a no-nonsense slice of drug-filled, intimidating street rap, packed with triplet flows, menacing piano, and lurching percussion. Enjoy this audio stream below after the jump.

Formerly a controversial Vine star, RetcH is well-known for his aggressive, humorous, and confrontational videos, selling the concepts with his charisma and reaching viral success. Executive produced by acclaimed producer/DJ Roofeeo and with production from TakenForGranted, J. Dot, and J Breez, Still Up is a ferocious comeback and an invigorating dose of East Coast shit, arriving hot on the heels of the rapper recent sampled appearance on N.E.R.D.‘s new single Lemon,” featuring Rihanna. Premiered by ComplexStill Up releases everywhere on December 8th.

To accompany the project, Retch shares Pop Me A Pint,” a brand new music video for a Still Up highlight. An atmospheric and rowdy trap-influenced banger, “Pop Me a Pint” is a vengeful carnival of boasts and threats. Filmed outside a Jersey gas station, “Pop Me a Pint” channels the rowdy energy of RetcH’s famous Vines and channels them into a controlled environment. In addition to the video, RetcH shares Still Up cut Run Up Them Racks,” a haunting and apocalyptic hustlers’ anthem. Produced by TakenForGranted, “Run Up Them Racks” finds RetcH rocking a triplet flow, attacking the piano-led beat like a pit bull. Premiered by HotNewHipHop, “Run Up Them Racks” is currently available as an instant gratis track with pre-order of Still Up. “Run Up Them Racks” follows “2-Eleven,” the apocalyptic intro to Still Up, which has over 105k SoundCloud streams since its release in mid-November.
