Rockie Fresh – “Make Moves” ft. 24hrs [Video]

Known for his easygoing rhymes and plainspoken wisdom, Rockie Fresh is always plotting his next gambit. Contrasting himself with those whose bark is bigger than their bite, Rockie gets down to brass tacks in Make Moves,” his new video. Joining up with Rostrum Records labelmate 24hrs, who delivers a scene-setting opening verse and an addictive pitch-shifting hook, Rockie establishes himself as a man of action in “Make Moves”: “You all be talkin’ too much, I ain’t got time to converse/B*tches on the site, we do not rehearse.” In the video, Rockie gives a glimpse of his day-to-day, starting at his city’s streetwear shops and ending in the VIP section of a local club. Originally released in 2019, “Make Moves” arrived in the run-up to DestinationRockie’s debut album. Enjoy this video stream below after the jump and please share this with friends.

With coverage from BillboardHYPEBEAST, and HotNewHipHopDestination arrived shortly after Rockie left Rick Ross’s Maybach Music Group and inked a deal with Rostrum Records. Last year’s album hosted video singles like  Round Here” and Maria,” and benefitted from the laid-back charm Rockie lends to each verse. Earlier this year, Rockie shared the playful clip for album highlight Feelings Hurt,” which features appearances from Rockie’s frequent collaborator Casey Veggies and his Rostrum labelmate 24hrs, and earlier this month, he shared a visual for Must Be, a romantic jam with a hook from Chris Brown.

Since dropping Destination last fall, Rockie has been on a tear, releasing a stream of standout loose singles, including Let It Be,” which earned placement on Spotify’s Most Necessary playlist, and last week’s glistening VS Ideas.” Stay tuned in the coming weeks for much more audio and visual content from Rockie Fresh.

The Background:
To some, life is all about the journey—destination be damned. Not so for Rockie Fresh. Since his rise as a whip-smart up-and-coming teenage rapper from Chicago to mixtape-slinging signee and Rick Ross protégé with Maybach Music Group in his early 20’s, Rockie has always known where he was headed and what it would take him to get there. And now, at only 27, freshly signed to Rostrum Records and on the heels of a fistful of smash records, epic collaborations with some of the biggest names in the game, and huge-selling tours, Rockie Fresh has arrived at his biggest belt-notch to date.
