Growing more popular with each year, Rolling Loud is the premier destination for hip-hop superfans. Premiered today by HYPEBEAST, Rolling Loud proudly unveils its new line of merch for Rolling Loud 2018, designed by Bryan Rivera (DONDA, Post Malone) and curated by Aditya Pamidi (@aditya.1001), with additional design from Collin Fletcher, Ryan Ormsby, Stix, and Wyatt Knowles. Featuring twelve distinct t-shirt designs and two towels, the 2018 merchandise drew inspiration from the tropical Florida locale, using stylish fonts and pastel colors to recreate the feeling of spending a summer’s day in Miami. In addition to the items designed by Bryan Rivera, there are four specialty items designed by Florida Rapper/Producer IndigoChildRick, including three unique t-shirt designs and a teal hoodie.
Headlined by J. Cole, Travis Scott, and Future and recently the subject of a feature in the Wall Street Journal, Rolling Loud 2018 is the biggest edition of the festival yet and a culmination of four years’ worth of successful events. The new merchandise is currently available at the Rolling Loud website and will be on sale in marked locations at the upcoming festival.
Taking place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on May 11-13, Rolling Loud 2018 will feature heavy-hitters like Migos and Lil Uzi Vert, veterans like N*E*R*D, The Diplomats and Juicy J, established names such as Young Thug, Big K.R.I.T., Young Dolph and Rick Ross, and risers like Playboi Carti, Lil Skies, Ski Mask The Slump God, Trippie Redd and many more. Check out the new Rolling Loud site map, available at Rolling Loud’s Instagram or on Rolling Loud’s official app, and see below for set times for all three days. You can catch all the action at REVOLT, who will air the official Rolling Loud Livestream on their website and on REVOLT TV.
In addition to over 140 musical performances, this year’s Rolling Loud festival will feature The Art Plug Trap House, where renowned artists will create original works and installations during the festival. Created in partnership with Rolling Loud co-founder Matt Zingler and Marcel Katz of The Art Plug, the Art Plug House is a nearly 3,000 square foot space on the festival grounds that will be packed with artwork and installations by a lineup of 7 artists, including Nychos, CB Hoyo, Zevi G, and more, who will transform the area into an interactive exhibit with disruptive, rap-themed art.
Last year’s Rolling Loud festival not only provided value to the city’s music fans, but also generated $75 million for the local Miami economy, per a report from The Washington Economics Group. The substantial job creation, household income, and GDP benefits quantify how youthful enthusiasm for music, and particularly hip-hop via Rolling Loud, can directly and indirectly improve the economic health of a neighborhood.
Rolling Loud 2018 is the festival’s homecoming following a year of a global expansion, beginning with Rolling Loud Bay Area in October 2017 at the Shoreline Festival Grounds in Mountain View, California. The Bay Area festival was a massive success, buoyed by the impressive lineup, headlined by Lil Wayne, Travis Scott and Schoolboy Q, as well as the strong word of mouth generated by the three Miami festivals. Rolling Loud’s global expansion continued with the equally successful Rolling Loud SoCal in December, headlined by Future, Schoolboy Q, Migos, Gucci Mane and Lil Uzi Vert. Rolling Loud continues its momentum into 2018 with its flagship Miami festival, sure to be the biggest edition yet.
