Brooklyn born, Ethiopian bred artist Siimba Liives Long is making a bold entrance to the music world with the premiere of his first music video for “Cocaine Bimbie”, which is part of his out of this world “sonic series” Zemenays Gemiinii. The video features footage from exotic locations like Ethiopia and South Africa, while instantly drawing you in with images of Siimba dancing in front of live lions while wearing an all-white Netela, a traditional Ethiopian outfit. The video keeps you hooked as Siimba continues to play with the lions and he even breathes fire. On top of being a unique video, Siimba introduces a classic sound, one that you won’t find in hip-hop today. With lyrics like “If you try to misinterpret, I got something you can work with. That means I’m out this world and you just lurking on the surface,” his flow is intoxicating and his style is reminiscent of 90’s hip-hop. His lyrics have substance as he spits fire, both lyrically and literally. Enjoy this video stream below after the jump.
