Getmybuzzup: Tell us a little about yourself?

Sone87um: I’m a Hip Hop artist who’s been producing and writing since the age of 10 up until 17 when I was incarcerated for attempted murder for 13 years and 10 months now I’m back.

Getmybuzzup: What’s it like growing up in South Central L.A.?

Sone87um: Crazy as hell in my era it’s a little different now but when I was growing up it was wild just like all the hood movies were showing us it was really like that.

Getmybuzzup: How long have you been in the music industry?

Sone87um: The first time I actually got paid for music I was 14 yrs old.

Getmybuzzup: How did you get started in the first place?

Sone87um: My father and several of my uncles were involved in the music industry as producers and engineers before I was born so they introduced me to it.

Getmybuzzup: Was it difficult getting back into music after thirteen years?

Sone87um: The creative part not at all but the business is very different now.

Sone87um: Everybody literally !! The greats inspire me to carry on tradition while the foofers inspire me to maintain some form of integrity.

Getmybuzzup: How do you go about writing a song and what is your process?

Sone87um: I have no specific method I used to work like that when I was younger but now I’m down for whatever! I usually just listen to beats and think of melodies and rhyme schemes before I start freestyling which will become the song.

Sone87um: A project called “Sone87um”.

Getmybuzzup: What is the concept behind your latest project?

Sone87um: All of the above different people like different things for differences.

Getmybuzzup: What area do you need to improve on in regards to your career?

Sone87um: Everything I’m in redevelopment mode. I mainly need exposure 13 years and 10 months killed my name and I’m just trying to rebuild it.

Sone87um: More music and I actually have several books I’m in the process of editing … They’re full of exciting truths.

Getmybuzzup: Anything else you wanna add?

Sone87um: The same elite families who dictate banks, laws and film also dictate major record label .So if we really hope to escape the matrix supporting independent artists is a major factor.
