19-year-old rap prodigy Stro will bring his high energy live show to Europe this fall. The multi-talented recording artist and actor will headline for the first time his “Live at the BBQ” European Tour touching down in France, Germany and Switzerland starting October 9, 2016 through October 15, 2016. On the heels of his partnership with Monster electronics and a new film in theaters this November, 2016 has proved to be a year of immense growth for the young rapper, creating a sound foundation for him to release his anticipated new album. Release date to be announced.

About Stro

Brooklyn, NY born and bred Stro, formerly known as Astro and Astronomical Kid is a rapper, lyricist, producer, actor, and true child of hip-hop. Raised by a Jamaican mother whom is an accomplished multi-faceted writer in her own right, Stro took to the roots of hip-hop at a very early age, beginning to write and perform at age 9. Citing Tupac, Jay-Z, Biggie and Nas as his largest musical influences, he describes his sound as a mélange of rap, jazz, 80’s pop, and 90’s & early 2000’s hip-hop.

He burst onto the scene and into the homes of millions in 2011 as a top 7 contestant on The X-Factor US, where he received rave reviews, notably from mentor and Epic Records CEO, L.A. Reid. After a brief deal with Epic, he created the music & lifestyle label Grade A Tribe that he aims to position as “a new age Roc-A-Fella”, merging his musical releases with lifestyle wear including apparel and accessories. To date, Stro has released 7 mixtapes, most recently B.E.S.T B.Y F.A.R at the top of 2016, and 2 EPs, with a forthcoming full-length album coming in 2017.

In addition to his music, Stro is an accomplished young actor, having started his theatrical career in 2012 in the role of Darren McGrady on CBS crime drama, Person of Interest. He went on to play the role of Tuck in 2014’s Earth to Echo, TJ in A Walk Among the Tombstones, and notably the role of Dash Hosney in Fox’s Red Band Society. Not one to be typecast, Stro will be featured in war drama Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk alongside stars Vin Diesel, Chris Tucker, Steve Martin, and Kristen Stewart, among others.

Wise beyond his years, Stro is working to create a viable career in music and film. It is without a doubt that he is on the right track, and just getting started.
