“Fly Guys Raps” is the third music video from his new mixtape “Best By Far” and directed by. Says Mass Appeal:
While most 9-year-olds were watching Power Rangers and wrestling with their peers, Stro was emulating legendary emcees like Rakim and Nas. “I feel like I’ve been rapping my entire life,” he says. Now 19 years old, he’s proven himself as a formidable lyricist, most recently with his mixtape Best By Far. Adding a new visual component to the project, Stro returns with the music video for “Fly Guy Rap / Boondocks,” a spoof on the iconic TV show Yo! MTV Raps.
“I got the idea for the video from an interview Method Man did with Yo! MTV Raps. He was being interviewed by Fab 5 Freddy on a tour bus.”
About Mass Appeal
With a foundation in creative instigation, Mass Appeal magazine was spawned from the tattooed walls and ink stained subways of a now bygone era. Founded by Patrick Elasik (1979-2005) and Adrian Moeller in 1996, what began as a graffiti zine evolved into much more, a publication truly by and for opinion leaders, trendsetters, risk takers and rule breakers. With a rich heritage in culture, Mass Appeal is a nod to the past while discovering and championing what’s next. Our content spans the worlds of music, art, and style, reflecting the cultural zeitgeist from our street view perspective. Naturally, the magazine founded by vandals went on to leave an indelible mark on culture.
